Did You All Miss me

So for like the past month or so I have been radio Silent right? It is becaues I have been having some irl things I need to cross 😥,

and also I have been making a project called Indigo Os.

What is it?

well it is a Universal Blue based immutable linux distor for like computer labs in schools, it focuses on languages like python and sql (mostly because thats what is in my school ncert and cbse syllabus).

Btw

I have changed my Youtube Channel name from “Universe_tech” to “Basically SJ”.

Why changing from “Universe_tech”

Because “Universe_tech” is overused.

Why “Basically SJ”

SJ is my short name or nick name and its my channel and i make content that i Obsess over. So Basically its SJ talking about his new Obsession which probably is something related to tech.

Also

due to some irl stuff going on like 12th grade board exams and stuff i may not make the videos in time and will have a long period between uploads of the videos. Be sure to Subscribe and look out for the channel post and also follow me on Bluesky. Also i won’t be making a instagram account due to privacy reasons.

What Is Open Source?

Opensource software! You might have heard about it in a youtube video or something like that. But what is opensource? Opensource is the philosophy of software where the software is free to view, use, copy and redistribute. Essentially opensource software are just like every other piece of software, but unlike proprietary software, you can essentially download the source code and modify it to your needs and share or even sell it without any issue. So what is its importance you may wonder. Opensource software is used in most of our infrastructure and also parts of foss code is also used to make proprietary software. You might be using foss software like 7zip, vscode, chromium, etc. There is a whole operating system that is opensource like Gnu/Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD Personally, I switched from Windows to Linux six months ago. Since then, my experience has improved significantly, and it has completely changed my perspective on technology and how I interact with it.
